HERE IS HOW TO MAKE VALENTINE’S DAY FRUIT SKEWERS:
WHERE CAN I FIND THESE INGREDIENTS?
The BEST thing about this recipe is that it is totally customizable to what you have in your home or in the grocery stores! When I was making these skewers, I knew that I wanted to have strawberries as they were already heart-shaped then I saw how crunchy the grapes were and that the watermelon was on sale so I ended up getting both! Use any pink or red fruit that’s available or really any fruit that’s on sale and that you can make heart-shaped! For the BBQ skewers, you can get them at any dollar store or you can find them in your grocery store either in the baking section or BBQ section.
WHAT ARE THE INGREDIENTS FOR VALENTINE’S DAY FRUIT SKEWERS?
For these mini fruit skewers, I used:

CAN I SUBSTITUTE/ADD ANYTHING OUT?
These skewers are definitely up to your imagination and creativity. You can skewer in some cake pieces, marshmallows, or any other fruit that you desire.
Some great options for fruits are cantaloupe, honeydew, cherries, blueberries, apples, etc! If you can make it into a heart shape then it can be added to the skewer 🙂
HOW LONG DOES IT KEEP FOR?
Fruit generally is best eaten fresh, however, if you want to prep this the evening before or have leftovers after then you can store it in the fridge for up to 2-3 days or freeze it to make smoothies with on a later day!
INSPIRATIONS FOR THIS RECIPE?
No inspiration for these fruit skewers other than that it’s Valentine’s day and all food shaped like hearts are just more appealing in my opinion! I love how cute these are and they make the perfect addition to your Valentine’s or Galentine’s day celebration as well as cute lunches for the kiddos!

I recently saw a post about how to cut mini tomatoes in half (and twist them) to create a heart shape and I loved that idea. Doing fruit skewers in this way is brilliant!
