Oh, Ikea. When you think of getting something cheap and ready for your home, what company do you think of? I think IKEA and I am probably not the only person who associates home products with IKEA (amazing marketing strategy!).

Of course, home decor can get super expensive but IKEA allows people to be able to design their home the way they want to at a lower cost

and I thank them as I’m not able to fully splurge on home decor just yet!

I was looking around my house and realized that I have lots of stuff from Ikea and some of them are my favourite home pieces!

Linnmon/ Adils White Table

I actually use this as my office desk! I don’t use anything but my laptop, notebook, pen and my phone so I don’t need additional space. This table has served me well and I can wipe my coffee marks super easy!

Cost: $29.99 + tax CAD

Linnmon Adils White Table

IKORNNES Ash Table Mirror

Now, this purchase was a tough decision! I couldn’t decide if I wanted the full length standing mirror or the table mirror but I wanted to save a little bit of money and thought it would serve me better as a tabletop mirror so I can move it around a lot easier!

Cost: $29.99 + tax CAD (table top), $139.99 + tax CAD (standing)

HOVSTA Birch Frame

These wood frames are my favourite. I don’t have much on my walls as I like them clean and clear but in our living room, I have 3 of these above our couch with our favourite wedding pictures in them!

Cost: $9.99 + tax CAD

Ikea Home Decor - HOVSTA Birch Frame

MALM 6-Chest White Drawer

This was the biggest splurge but this was a need. We moved into our home on June 2020 and we actually didn’t purchase this until August 2020. So, basically, our clothes were just everywhere until I finally told myself that my life would probably be much easier if I could fold clothes and put them in drawers haha!

Cost: $159.99 + tax CAD

Ikea Home Decor - MALM White Drawer

TOFTLUND White Rug 90×150 cm

This rug was near the exit at Ikea and I wasn’t going to purchase it but I’m glad I did! It’s super soft under your feet and sometimes I just like to sit on it haha.

Cost: $39.99 + tax CAD (90x150cm), $9.99 + tax CAD (55×85 cm)

TOFTLUND white rug

Nilsove Rattan/White Chair

With this one, it’s super cute and the aesthetic is bomb af BUT it’s not that comfy as it is my office chair! So, I suggest using it somewhere else or if you’re aesthetic over comfort, I 100% recommend!

Cost: $139.00 + tax CAD

Nilsove Rattan Chair

MALINDA Light Beige Chair Pad

Last but not least, this cute beige chair pad for your rattan chair! You can pick any colour you like and at Ikea, there’s so many to choose from!

Cost: $8.99 + tax CAD

MALINDA Light Beige Chair Pad

My style is very minimal. I adore simplicity and white/beige tones. We’re still renting our home so most of our decor is also very rental home friendly!

Hope this post encourages you to get to decorating!

Lynn

Perfect timing! I’ve never brought anything from Ikea, only recently having visited two for the first time. We’re in the middle of a move actually. Going from a small apartment to a house, nobody really has furniture yet so these are great ideas!

IKEA is such a great place to pick up the basics! I love that most items also have a choice in colour although I have found that their stock changes so quickly you need to get a set of things at once. I got two pairs of dining chairs I thought were the same but nope! Thanks for sharing ☺️

    • lynnmumbingmejia says

      October 27, 2020 at

That’s very true! I have to check online to make sure everything I want is all in stock before I leave the house 🙂 Thank you for reading!
