Chicken wings have been my favourite food since I was little! The birthday meal that I requested from my mom would always be fried chicken wings and rice. Now, I make my own chicken wings at home and have tried many different ways although mom’s chicken wings will forever be unmatched.
I visited the restaurant chain called Old Spaghetti Factory with my husband a few years back and tried these super delicious deep-fried wings and I have to say to this day, aside from my mama’s chicken wings, those have got to be my fav!
Fast forward, I’ve learned to make something similar and figured out what the secret ingredient is!

WHERE CAN I FIND THESE INGREDIENTS?
The ingredients to make these super delicious deep fried chicken wings can be found at any grocery store! You can get the dry ingredients from the pantry aisles and the chicken wings either packaged or fresh from the meat section.
WHAT ARE THE INGREDIENTS?
The ingredients for this recipe are:
- Chicken Wings
- Flour
- Chicaron
- Garlic
- Seasoning Salt
- Oil for frying
- Powered Chicken Bouillon
WHAT EQUIPMENT DO I NEED?
All of the equipment for these yummy deep fried chicken wings you’ll most likely already have at home! The items you’ll need are a deep frying pan, a good pair of long tongs so you don’t get oil splatter too hot and some good mixing bowls with a cover! Investing in bowls with a cover has been a game changer for me, especially with marinate recipes!
CAN I SUBSTITUTE/ADD ANYTHING OUT?
You sure can! You can use whatever crunch you’d like. For some subs, you can use deep dried crunch chicken skin -YES, I mean chicken skin! It’s delicious and really tasty to coat. If you don’t want to use pork rind or chicken skin, you can absolutely use panko or just flour works great too!
I know people love to season their food but I love keeping it as simple as I can. For me, not all recipes need to be over the top. Really simple ingredients and seasonings to bring out the taste of whatever you showcase are perfect too!
Alternatively, if you for whatever reason come by this recipe and are a vegetarian, you can swap out the chicken wings for oyster mushrooms and use vegetable seasoning instead of the chicken bouillon as well as just flour and panko for crunch!
WHAT DO THESE DEEP FRIED CHICKEN WINGS TASTE LIKE?
Oh my goodness, describing these is so hard! The crunch is unreal and is just so tasty. It’s not like other fried chicken recipes that just use batter or flour because of the pork rinds. It’s got the best saltiness and is perfect to eat with a salad and/or rice.
They are absolutely crunchy on the outside and very moist on the inside. It’s hard to stop eating! Once you finish the wings, I promise you, it’ll leave you wanting more.
HOW LONG DOES IT KEEP FOR?
These deep fried chicken wings are good to be in the fridge for up to 3 days. Be aware though, that they may lose their crunch day after day. To reheat, I recommend doing them in the air fryer on low heat so they don’t burn/overcook yet still remain crunchy.

I mentioned my inspirations for this recipe but it’s from Old Spaghetti Factory chicken wings! I’m obsessed with them and how delicious they are! I had to recreate them myself!

Tasty Deep Fried Chicken Wings
Ingredients
- 1 Tbsp CHicken Bouillon
- 1 Tbsp Seasoning Salt
- 5-7 Garlic Cloves smashed
- 1 Cup Chicarron grinded
- 1 Cup Flour
- 0.9 Kg Chicken Wings
Instructions
- In a large mixing bowl, add in your chicken wings, chicken bouillon, seasoning salt and crushed garlic. Mix altogether and let marinate aside for about 20-30 minutes covered in the fridge.
- While your chicken wings is marinating, grind up your chicarron coarsely and add in a cup of flour.
- Pre-heat your flying pan with oil. Take your chicken wings out and add in your flour/chicarron mixture until every chicken wing is well coated.
- Once your oil is hot, fry until golden brown and reaches an internal temperature of 165 degrees F.
- Cool, serve and enjoy!
