WHAT ARE THE INGREDIENTS?
The ingredients to make this delicious pumpkin alfredo flatbread are:
- Flatbread
- Canned Pumpkin Puree
- Alfredo Sauce – your favourite jarred sauce is fine!
- Carmelized Onions
- Sage
- Fresh Mozzarella – or any cheese of your choice!
- Water
- Olive Oil
WHAT EQUIPMENT DO I NEED?
The recipe is super easy so you don’t need much for it! You should already have everything at home which is great. So, the recipe is quite simple and only contains 5 ingredients. You’ll want to caramelize your onions over the stove until they are nice and brown. This can take about 45 minutes but cook it to your liking! 45 minutes on low heat gives it time for the natural sugars of the onions to caramelize.
Aside from that, you’ll want to simmer your alfredo sauce and pumpkin puree on the stove and bake the flatbread in the oven so the cheese gets nice and golden!
Here are some of my favorite Amazon kitchen finds!
CAN I SUBSTITUTE/ADD ANYTHING OUT?
You sure can! So, this pumpkin alfredo flatbread is really simple to make but you can get as creative as you’d like with the toppings! If you want to add some extra protein, you can add some sausage, bacon or any other protein of your choice.
I love using fresh mozzarella but any cheese that you basically like on pizza works too! I love sometimes swapping it out for swiss or cheddar!
I find that sage goes so well with this! I make a delicious fresh pumpkin alfredo pasta sauce here that is one of my favs and I love the taste of sage in this!
Aside from this, do use your imagination and taste buds to make this pizza to your liking! I’d love to hear how you make this recipe your own!
WHAT DOES PUMPKIN ALFREDO FLATBREAD TASTE LIKE?
Pumpkin Alfredo Flatbread offers a delightful fusion of flavors. Here’s a taste profile:
- Creamy and Savory: The Alfredo sauce provides a rich, creamy texture that pairs beautifully with the flatbread, creating a comforting and indulgent base.
- Sweet and Earthy: The pumpkin adds a subtle sweetness and earthy depth to the flatbread, complementing the creamy Alfredo sauce.
- Herbaceous: The addition of herbs like sage enhances the flavor with aromatic notes that balance the richness.
- Cheesy: If cheese is added, it melts into a gooey, flavorful layer that adds both tanginess and richness.
- Crunchy and Soft: The flatbread itself is crispy on the edges but tender and soft in the center, providing a satisfying contrast to the creamy toppings.
Overall, Pumpkin Alfredo Flatbread is a deliciously savory and slightly sweet dish with a creamy texture and a touch of herbal freshness.
HOW LONG DOES IT KEEP FOR?
Pumpkin Alfredo Flatbread typically lasts for about 3-4 days when stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator. For the best texture, reheat in an oven or toaster oven. You can eat it cold or warmed up! I love it when its warm as it’s a delicious Fall meal that hugs your insides!

I thought a flat bread version would be so great for weeknights where you can’t be bothered to spend hours in the kitchen and this recipe is pretty quick and easy with minimal clean up!
ANY OTHER NOTES?
Yes! You don’t technically need to carmelize the onions for 45 minutes, honestly as long as they are nice and brown and the flavours have come out, I personally think it’s not necessary but totally your choice!
