Aren’t breakfast foods the best?!
We are back with another post in our Food from TV or movie series by recreating Mulan’s Breakfast Rice Porridge!
I used to watch Mulan so many times as a child because it was the only princess I resonated with. She was the first Asian Disney Princess and her voice was played by the gorgeous Lea Salonga! I swear I sang Reflection in the shower about 1000 times.
I adored that she was so braved and sacrificed for her family. The last part of the movie was a little bit tough but glad that the ending went so well!
Have you ever watched Mulan? Did you enjoy the movie?

It’s very good and super filling, You could have this dish for breakfast, lunch and dinner too. Plus have the leftovers for the next day.

Okay, so there is a bit of a backstory here, and I am sure it will not go down well – I do not enjoy Mulan as a Disney cartoon. I know, I know, the sisters have tried a trillion ways but no, just can’t do it for too long. On the other hand, though, I find it funny and there is nothing better than Mushu’s sarcasm. Having said this – the porridge you have here looks like the real deal and when I saw it on Instagram I squealed ahahaha it looks great, I need to try it asap as I love porridge! xx
Aw, I get it though! There are just some movies that you just can’t get with. Bacon and eggs can never be a bad combo! xx
Oooo this sounds and looks amazing! I’ve never heard of this before but I’ll defo be giving it a go ASAP. Thank you so much for sharing Xo

I don’t know whether I’m brave enough to try this! I like rice, but I don’t know whether I could have it for breakfast. Though I do adore sweet rice pudding, so maybe I’d have it with banana and honey maybe? I did love the Mulan film though 🙂
Haha! I totally get you. I find it hard to eat in the morning so I usually don’t have anything til about 11am. Thanks for reading! x
This looks SO cute! I’d have to swap out the chicken & bacon but otherwise I totally love it xx

I love how thoughtful this project was for your niece! Mine use to bug me about being in my YT videos when she was 11. She’s 19 now and runs her own business lol! But I do miss when she’d ask me to be in my videos! As simple as this seems, I never thought to make it myself, but now I kind of… want to? Haha.
