HERE IS HOW TO MAKE MAPLE MUSTARD SAUCE:
WHERE CAN I FIND THESE INGREDIENTS?
You can find the ingredients to make Maple Mustard Sauce at your local grocery store. Look for maple syrup, yellow mustard, and mayo. These simple ingredients come together to create a deliciously sweet and tangy sauce that’s perfect for drizzling over roasted vegetables, grilled meats, or as a dipping sauce for chicken tenders.
WHAT ARE THE INGREDIENTS?
This recipe is super easy and simple! All you’ll really need to make this delicious maple mustard sauce are:
- Mayonnaise
- Yellow Mustard
- Maple Syrup
WHAT EQUIPMENT DO I NEED?
This recipe is super easy to make so you don’t need a lot of equipment. I love whipping this sauce up when I air fry some fries and chicken tenders! I’ve also used this sauce as a meat marinade and it comes so moist and flavourful! This sauce is especially so delicious on salmon!
All you’ll really need is a bowl, whisk and some measuring spoons/cups! Whisk is also not optional but love using a whisk as it just breaks down all the ingredients and combines everything together so much better.
Here are some of my Amazon favs:
CAN I SUBSTITUTE/ADD ANYTHING OUT?
This recipe is so simple and only has 3 ingredients so of course, you can add or substitute whatever you’d like out! If you didn’t have maple syrup, honey is a great sweetener option then it would be honey mustard sauce!
Mayonnaise is a must but you can use the mayo that fits your dietary needs whether it be dairy-free or made from different products! I love yellow mustard but you can always use dijon or a fancier mustard! I’m a hardcore loyal yellow mustard gal!
WHAT DOES MAPLE MUSTARD SAUCE TASTE LIKE?
Maple Mustard Sauce offers a delightful balance of sweet and tangy flavors. The maple syrup adds a rich sweetness, while the yellow mustard provides a sharp tanginess. Combined with mayonnaise, this sauce creates a harmonious blend that enhances the flavor of a variety of dishes. It’s perfect for adding depth to roasted vegetables, grilled meats, sandwiches, or salads.
HOW LONG DOES IT KEEP FOR?
Maple Mustard Sauce typically lasts for about 1-2 weeks when stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator. Make sure to check for any signs of spoilage before consuming. I usually just use a fresh spoon and scoop some out in a different bowl when I make big batches to ensure the freshness!
INSPIRATIONS FOR THIS RECIPE?
So, honey mustard is one of my top 5 sauces and whenever I get chicken tenders or nuggets from fast food places, I always get multiple sauce packets of honey mustard. One day I bought a big frozen bag of chicken nuggets and fries from the grocery store and thought to make some sauce for myself at home.
I had no honey but had maple mustard and decided to use that instead and it was a game changer! I’m happy to say that I prefer maple syrup as a sweetener over honey now! I incorporate this sauce in so many recipes I make now and it’s just part of my meal prep rotation.
My husband eats lots of protein so I often do air fryer honey mustard chicken or pork for his lunches!
ANY OTHER NOTES?
Yes! This sauce IS runny so if you want to thicken it up, place it in the fridge before eating or lessen the maple syrup! It’s perfect to drizzle on salad or cooked food when it’s more liquid but if you want a thick dip, 20-30 minutes in the fridge is great!
This also basically makes a small sauce bowl amount so if you want to make more, just double or triple the recipe!
