Have you gotten on the ginger shots wagon yet? I have been incorporating ginger shots every day for a week a few times a year!
The health and wellness benefits of ginger shots are seriously almost endless. Ginger has powerful antioxidants and anti-inflammatory properties, can boost immunity, treat nausea, and is amazing for your digestive health. A small list of the power of ginger but adding turmeric as I do go above and beyond!

HERE IS HOW TO MAKE IMMUNITY BOOSTING GINGER TURMERIC SHOTS:
WHERE CAN I FIND THESE INGREDIENTS?
The ingredients to make these Immunity Ginger Turmeric Shots can be found in any grocery store! I get everything in one go. The only thing that you may have trouble finding would probably be the turmeric! I’m not 100% sure if turmeric is available around the world but there is fresh and dried/powdered turmeric.
WHAT ARE THE INGREDIENTS?
The ingredients to make this Immunity Ginger Turmeric Shots are:
- Pineapple
- Ginger
- Lemon
- Apple Cider Vinegar
- Turmeric Powder
- Black Pepper (before drinking)
WHAT EQUIPMENT DO I NEED?
Okay, so you can go two routes with this recipe. You can either do this in a good old fashion juicer OR you can just do it in a blender and strain it with a nut milk bag. I always use my nut milk bag as I’m trying not to clutter my kitchen and don’t feel the need for extra appliances however it is a bit more work so it’s up to you on what you use to make this!
I also recommend getting small glass jars. My glass jars are roughly around 3-5oz and I switch back and forth! You can also use bigger jars if you want to make this more of a juice to sip on than a shot (just add more water and fruit).
CAN I SUBSTITUTE/ADD ANYTHING OUT?
You sure can substitute and add anything to this recipe! I’ve seen loads of recipes that omit the apple cider vinegar or add in apples!
Add or substitute what feels right for you so that you enjoy it! I’ve always believed that a healthy lifestyle should be sustainable for you so don’t incorporate a recipe that you hate into your lifestyle.
WHAT DO IMMUNITY BOOSTING GINGER TURMERIC SHOTS TASTE LIKE?
They definitely pack a punch! My ginger shots recipe contains spicy ginger and apple cider vinegar which isn’t the best smelling ingredient in the kitchen. I’m not going to lie, there have been days when I have to plug my nose while taking a ginger shot! Some days are harder than others but ultimately, I actually really enjoy drinking ginger shots.
HOW LONG DOES IT KEEP FOR?
Keep your ginger shots in the fridge in little containers ready for you to drink for up to 5-7 days. I got little shot-looking glasses from the dollar store and love them for my ginger shots!
INSPIRATIONS FOR THIS RECIPE?
Honestly, the inspiration to make immunity ginger turmeric shots came just from my overall lifestyle. I pride myself on being fun and having fun and really doing/eating/drinking what I want when I want! Might sound a bit odd if you’re not into astrology but I’m a Libra and I crave balance so, in addition to all the fun things I do, I keep my health in check.
I’ve always wanted to make my own ginger shots because they cost an arm and a leg at the grocery store so I did and love incorporating this into my routine! I go on and off them so I’ll make a batch that’ll cover me for 7 days and do it every day for 7 days then take a break for a month or two then do it again!
ANY OTHER NOTES?
Yes! Black pepper activates turmeric so right before you take a shot, you’ll need to add in the smallest dash of black pepper!
These are best to drink first thing in the morning before you have anything to boost your digestive system. I usually wake up, have a ginger shot then drink water and have something to eat for breakfast!

Ooo I like the idea of making your own immunity boosters! For this recipe, do you find that the ginger is overpowering in terms of taste, or does the pineapple help to bring out more of a fruity flavor? Thank you for sharing, girlie!

Love this post! I’ve grown up with apple cider vinegar so the smell and taste doesn’t bother me anymore. I’ll have to give these a try!

I got them from my local dollar store! It was 3 for $2 🙂
I love the idea of making these myself!! What is the volume of the pineapple? I would like to swap it with oranges…
Any chance we can add the black pepper in the recipe?
You sure can! I just put a dash before I take the shot in the mornings but you can definitely add in the pepper to your mix 🙂
