HERE IS HOW TO MAKE GROUND PORK STUFFED PEPPERS:
WHERE CAN I FIND THESE INGREDIENTS?
You can find the ingredients for Ground Pork Stuffed Peppers at most grocery stores or supermarkets. Key ingredients like ground pork, bell peppers, onions, garlic, rice, and tomato paste are typically available in the meat, produce, and pantry sections. For convenience, online grocery delivery services can also be a great option to get everything you need.
WHAT ARE THE INGREDIENTS?
The ingredients to make these delicious ground pork stuffed peppers are:
- Ground Pork
- White Rice
- Tomato Paste
- Chicken Boullion
- Garlic
- Onion
- Shredded Cheese
- Bell Peppers
WHAT EQUIPMENT DO I NEED?
All you’ll need are a few kitchen utensils and equipment for this recipe! I use the oven to bake these stuffed peppers but you can also air fry them if you prefer to just get the cheese melted and the bell peppers softened a little.
Some kitchen equipment to have handy are some bowls, some spoons to cook the rice stuffing and also to stuff each pepper, a knife and a cooking board. Aside from this, you’ll also want a large baking tray to place the bell peppers on and place in the oven to bake.
Here are some of my Amazon favourites:
CAN I SUBSTITUTE/ADD ANYTHING OUT?
A great advantage of ground pork stuffed peppers is their versatility. You can easily customize the stuffing to suit your taste preferences or dietary needs. For a healthier twist, substitute white rice with brown rice or quinoa. Add extra vegetables like corn, spinach, or zucchini to boost the nutritional value.
I used ground pork in this but you can of course use any other ground meat that follows your dietary restrictions. Also, note that this recipe does not have a ton of seasonings so add what you’d like to make it extra flavourful for you!
The peppers are topped with cheese for a deliciously gooey finish and you can really use any cheese you prefer! I love using a marble cheddar mix. No matter how you choose to customize them, ground pork stuffed peppers are sure to become a favorite in your recipe repertoire.
WHAT DO GROUND PORK STUFFED PEPPERS TASTE LIKE?
Ground Pork Stuffed Peppers offer a delightful blend of savory and slightly sweet flavors. The ground pork provides a rich, meaty taste that pairs beautifully with the natural sweetness and slight crunch of the bell peppers. Seasoned with a mix of onions and garlic, the filling becomes aromatic and flavorful. The addition of tomato paste and rice adds a comforting, hearty element to the dish, creating a balanced and satisfying meal with a hint of tanginess from the tomatoes and a satisfying texture from the rice.
HOW LONG DOES IT KEEP FOR?
Ground Pork Stuffed Peppers can last for 3-4 days when stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator. For longer storage, you can freeze them for up to 3 months. I make a huge batch of these and store them in the freezer for easy weeknight meals! The keep very well and I like to air fry them to reheat.
INSPIRATIONS FOR THIS RECIPE?
I love bell peppers on their own with some cream cheese or some ranch. I’m a huge fan of crunchy foods and these stuffed bell peppers have that satisfying crunch while having all the other ingredients like rice and protein to keep you satiated for hours.
The idea of having easy meals is so great to me! I find that stocking my fridge and freezer with lots of different variety of foods make it easier to have healthy meals throughout the week instead of just taking take out and end up having something with less nutritional value and also spending lots of money on it.
ANY OTHER NOTES?
If you want the bell pepper to be more on the raw side, you can alternatively just broil the cheese. The stuffing is fully cooked so the only thing that really needs to “cook” is the cheese.
