The first week of March! The days are getting brighter longer and I’m loving it. I’ve mentioned it a few times but I usually film with natural light and only use a ring light if needed! So, more film days, here I come!
So, this month is St. Patrick’s Day and I saw a fun recipe on Tasty for their version of a Frozen Irish Coffee that I thought I would make my own variation that’s dairy free! I did top it with regular whipped cream but you can definitely omit that part or froth some dairy free alternatives.
PIN FOR LATER:
I added Irish Cream Syrup because it felt too basic to just add whiskey in a mocha shake and call it an Irish drink haha. I also did this with oat milk as I don’t rarely have dairy milk or cream.
I measured the ingredients as I go and wrote it down. I create things with passion and sometimes I forget to write down my ingredients. Being a blogger now, I need to keep reminding myself to do it!
HERE is How To Make Frozen Irish Coffee:
Where can I find these ingredients?
The reason why I wanted to create this recipe is because I had all the ingredients at home and I’m sure many of you do too! When I went keto for a few months I used Jordan’s Skinny Syrups Irish Cream to put in my morning coffees! So, I still had a little leftover. You can get these ingredients anywhere and honestly, if you don’t like the alcohol, you can simply omit it. I’ve had irish cream milkshakes in the past and they are delicious. My favourite drink at Starbucks is an Irish Cream Americano!
What are the ingredients?
-Irish Cream Syrup
-Coffee/Espresso
-Whiskey
-Chocolate Syrup/Melted Chocolate
-Ice
Oat Milk
-Cocoa Powder for dusting (optional)
-Whipped Cream for topping (optional)
Can I sub anything out?
Yes, you can make this with dairy just like the original Tasty recipe and use sweet cream or heavy cream to make it more decadent. As for everything else, I think they should stay as is but you can swap out the chocolate syrup for a mocha or java chip one! You can also pour the coffee into ice molds to make the drink strong and not watered down!
What does it taste like?
Oh my, I have to tell you I had this quite early in the day because I usually test out recipes early in the afternoon and I was a couch potato for the rest of the day. Have to say that day drinking is not for me Lol! It was really yummy and reminded me of a Bailey’s coffee. I’ve never had something like this so I was surprised at how much I enjoyed it. I usually have fruity alcoholic drinks.

I wasn’t sure what to put in the instructions haha I mean it’s pretty straight forward that you basically put everything in the blender and blend it up! You can add more alcohol if you’d like but I wanted it to be a little lighter as I had this at noon.
Enjoy this coffee with a delicious Chocolate Mint Dreams cookie that my friend, Heidi made a recipe for or for a more boozy afternoon! Perfect pairing for an afternoon treat!
This was a fun and easy drink to make! I really enjoyed it and would definitely make it for a girls night too! Have you ever had a boozy coffee drink?
Have you ever celebrated St. Patrick’s Day? I would love to know what you did!

Yes, please! This sounds amazing! I love coffee, but I tend to drink fruity drinks. I’m afraid I would be a couch potato after this as well. I definitely celebrate St. Patrick’s Day as I’m part Irish. We usually go to our town’s parade and my friend has a green party. Those didn’t happen last year and probably won’t happen this year so I will most likely make green food for my kiddos at home. They love that! Thanks for sharing, Lynn! 🙂
Aw! How fun! I think I went to an irish bar years ago and it was a blast but I’m looking forward to celebrating maybe next year! Thank you so much for reading Heidi! x

Just pinned this for later because it sounds absolutely divine. I’m allergic to oats so I’d have to swap out the oat milk for another option, but the idea of a frozen Irish coffee is incredible. I don’t know why I’ve never thought to try this before!
Yay! I’m so glad you like it! Totally, almond, cashew, coconut or even regular dairy would all make lovely subs! Thank you for commenting, Stephanie xx

Girl, this sounds really yummy. I low-key just want to try alllll the fun “Irish” recipes this year, so maybe I can throw this one in the mix. ? I feel you on the day-drinking thing though. I had a glass of wine mid-morning a few weeks ago + was worthless for the rest of the day, so I won’t be repeating that mistake again!
Haha, glad I’m not alone! Thanks for reading love xx
Oh my goodness, I’d love to have this but don’t think I can because I’m pregnant! But this looks and sounds sooo good. Thanks for sharing, I’m going to pin it.

I already have five of the required ingredients for this, so I will have to try this. I’m not a coffee fan, but I am a whiskey girl, so I will have to make this just to try. Luckily, my partner loves whiskey and coffee, so this would be perfect for a cocktail night. Thank you for sharing. ?
Amazing! I hope you enjoy it xx
Yum this sounds great! I don’t drink anymore so I would just use the flavoured syrup. The photo looks so good! Siobhan ♡ | Vegan Babe Life

This is a nice recipe that I’m going to save for summer time. I will add ice cubes in the blender. I’m going to skip the Irish cream as it’s dairy and I’m going to swap the whipped cream with a coconut one. I like that we can easily adapt this drink to our taste. Thanks for sharing!
