I am TERRIBLE at pantry items! I am a sucker for different sauces, pickled items, or any canned food on sale. I love trying new things but with just my husband and me, I am totally guilty of forgetting what’s in the pantry.
A big goal of mine that I’ve been really focused on this year is being more intentional with my purchases and this includes food! I hate wasting food so I end up eating everything before it goes bad which is why I compiled a list of 33+ Easy Pantry Recipes to avoid waste!
I’m getting used to the idea of buying less but going more often to prevent waste and to keep safe during this pandemic. I’ve been getting my groceries delivered using Instacart! Instacart is similar to an uber where someone is assigned to purchase your groceries and you’re able to chat with them while they are getting it done then they leave the groceries at the door for a safe and contact-less experience.
Grocery shopping has been making me anxious this past year so it’s been nice to be able to do everything from my phone. I do sometimes go in for a mental health grocery outing but other than that it’s been awesome placing the order and getting it at your designated time! If you use this link, you can get $10 off your first order!
Are you guilty of purchasing too many pantry items? Do you have go-to Easy Pantry Recipes?
PIN 33+ Easy Pantry Recipes FOR LATER:
I do generally eat fresh food but I am a sucker for dipping sauces, marinades, seasonings, and salad dressings! I have more or less the same salad every day which I can tolerate but I need it to taste differently which is why I love having different dressings on the side.
I am constantly looking for Easy Pantry Recipes and I’ve made a list of everything that I plan on trying this year.
Please note: Some of these Easy Pantry Recipes require items from your freezer or fridge but the overall goal and idea here is to use up the pantry items! I tried to pick items that require very minimal perishable ingredients.
HERE ARE MY 33+ Easy Pantry Recipes:
Chickpea Curry
I love a good roasted chickpea recipe but chickpea curry? Sounds amazing!
Spaghetti and Clams
I found this one very interesting as I don’t often have clams in my pantry but when I do, aside from chowder, I never know what to do with them! This would be a great easy meal after a long day.
White Bean Turkey Chili
I usually just order chilli from Tim Hortons when I’m craving but I’ve made my own at home. This is one I’m trying!
Tuna Salad
Tuna Salad is my fav. I want to release a recipe on it soon but this is similar to how I make it!
Canned Salmon Patties
I LOVE CANNED SALMON! I usually put it over the stove with tomatoes, onions and garlic to mask any fishy taste but I can’t wait to make this one.
Quinoa and Black Bean Tacos
These quinoa and black bean tacos look so tasty and fresh. Love how versatile black beans are.
Bean and Corn Salsa
Salsa is a big hit in our home. I often make fresh salsa and guacamole! I have yet to add corn and beans but I can feel that this is an amazing Easy Pantry Recipes snack idea!
Oatmeal Muffins
I’m not a big muffin person but my mom is and this is something I’ll make for her!
Bean and Cheese Burritos
Bean and Cheese Burritos were my go-to during college! Super easy to freeze, heat up and eat on the go.
Apple Pie Oatmeal
If you want to completely use things from your pantry, I often have apple pie filling that I’d put in this instead of fresh apples!
Spam Fried Rice
Spam is 100% one of my pantry staples! Almost every Filipino household has a few of these. Although Spam isn’t the healthiest option, it does satisfy a craving! Using pineapple also gives it that balance of sweet and salty, you didn’t know you needed.
Gluten-Free Carrot Cake Pancakes
Carrot cake is one of my fav cake flavours and these are just making my mouth water!
Smoky Cheese and Refried Beans Quesadilla
You could do this with regular cheese but cashew cheese defs caught my attention! Sounds like a delicious vegan meal!
Autumn Granola
Texture is a big thing for me so having a crunch on my yogurt makes having yogurt a better experience for me haha!
Red Lentil Soup
If you know me, you’d know that I’m trying to find a lentil recipe I like! This is definitely the step in the right direction.
Garlic Ramen Popcorn
I was soooo excited for this one! What an excellent idea!! I love flavoured popcorn and it is an East Pantry Recipes snack idea!
Classic Hummus
I actually make my own hummus but I haven’t shared a recipe yet! Truffle Hummus is my weakness.
Cheerios Cereal Bar
Definitely on the sweeter side but these are nice to bring for last-minute gatherings and no groceries!
Hawaiian Dinner Rolls
This has been on my list for soooo long! I just got introduced to making bread and I’ve got a long way to go but I want to try these so badly!
Spring Pasta Salad
AH, my favourite pasta salad that I won’t shut up about. I used Rotini, Canned olives and corn niblets for this one!
Aloha Pineapple Chicken
We love Pineapple Chicken in this household! Super easy dinner idea.
Split Pea Soup
Split Pea Soup is sooo yummy but for a lot of people, it’s a love/hate relationship. My husband hates it but I love it! I usually store it in the freezer.
Easy Nachos
We have nacho dinners once every few months and find whatever is in the fridge and pantry and basically put it on top of chips and top it with LOTS of cheese and bake it!
Minestrone Soup
I’ve only had minestrone soup a few times but I’d love to make it this year!
Tortilla Pizza
My fav pizza sauce is defs pesto! These are super easy to make and I’d just swap the tomato sauce with pesto sauce.
Potato and Corn Chowder
Yum, love a good chowder. This recipe is sooo creamy. The perfect comfort meal!
Classic Waffles
I don’t have a waffle maker but I definitely have this Mini Dash Waffle Maker in my cart so I’m definitely trying these out!
4 Ingredient Meatloaf
Love easy meatloaf is and you could have so many different sides with it!
Spanish Rice
I always make Spanish rice when we have burrito night! Sooo delicious and a crowd pleaser! I’ve brought this to potlucks too!
Crab Spinach Artichoke Dip
My fav patio season appetizer! I used canned crab for this one too!
Sloppy Joes
When you don’t know what to do with your ground beef, sloppy joes are the Easy Pantry Recipes way to go!
Vegetable Lo Mein
I always have a package of noodles in my pantry! If you have veggies that are about to go bad, lo mein is the best way to cook it!

No Bake Energy Bites
I used to make these all the time! Especially after work/before the gym, I usually have 2 of these OR a boiled egg!

Spam Musubi always hits the spot. I’ve made them for my family and it’s the absolute easiest and best thing to bring! Even the little kiddos adore these.
Coffee Crunch Cookies
Coffee & Nuts?! Perfect combo. Everything in this recipe is pretty much in your pantry and these are cakey cookies that are perfect with tea or coffee in the afternoon!

I’m the same as you and I try not to waste food. I’m a massive foodie so I often get a loads of different products each time I shop but one week, I’m hoping to plan meals around items I’ve already got in the cupboards to help use some of the products up. Sauces are also my kryptonite lol
Right! Every time there are new sauces I always pick them up and feel so guilty omg!! Thanks for reading, Sarah! xx
