Exactly a week to Christmas Day! Are you feeling the pressure or are you feeling relaxed? I feel really relaxed and I can’t wait for Christmas! My husband’s office is closed for the holidays and it’ll be nice having him home.

This year especially, I have been making small changes to my lifestyle to be more eco-friendly. I decided to wrap my gifts in an eco-friendly/minimalist way and I’m loving it! They look beautiful under my tree and I think I’ll be doing this from now on. Please note that most glitter/shiny ribbons are not eco-friendly! As long as the ribbon is in good condition, you can kindly ask the gift receiver to re-use it 🙂
In my opinion, I’m nowhere near being a good example of an eco-friendly role model but I believe the little things help you long term and help you develop the habit!

How do I do it?
First, grab the gift you want to wrap and measure the size of kraft paper you’ll need. Now, grab it the way you normally would. Be creative and do what you’d like with it! You could also draw on the package as well 🙂
I really love how these are not too overwhelming with red and green but again it’s a preference! I do like some colourful items but I definitely adore neutral colours and find them much more relaxing to look at.
If you haven’t checked out, my friend, Aimsy’s blog post on Gift Wrapping Tips, Tricks & Ideas, you need to! Love how she does a step by step tutorial!

I’ve never considered Kraft paper! Whenever the kiddos are older and don’t really care about the fancy Christmas paper, I’ve got to try Kraft paper! Do you find it hard to work with at all?
Jaya Avendel says
A little bit of paper goes a long way alongside pretty ribbons and sparkles! My tree is red and green enough so some contrast in the wrapping paper is always welcome, and I love your printable tags! 🙂

Love this, it looks so cute! I did buy eco friendly wrapping paper this year, but I haven’t found plastic free tape so that’s still something to look for in my journey. Love that you thought of making this process eco-friendly as well, it’s all about those little steps that can eventually make a big difference!

I love this! I always use Kraft paper for wrapping – this year I found some Christmas tree paper tape and the cutest twine which I thought made the perfect festive addition xx

Something I’ve been noticing lately is that we mostly know going more for eco-friendly gift wrapping. I do hope that we keep going more for eco-friendly wrapping not just on Christmas but on other special occasions.
Also, I’m pretty relaxed since I already planned on how my mom, my sister, and I are going to celebrate Christmas eve.

I love the look of plain paper with natural greenery. Can I pull it off as you have done? Doubtful-things look different in my head from hands

I love these colours and kraft paper is one of my favourites to wrap presents! I can’t stand sparkly ribbons and paper. I absolutely love how great they look under the tree in the picture! Thanks for sharing xx

Beautiful presentation! I’ve also recycled brown paper grocery bags for wrapping presents in the same manner as your kraft paper wrapping. It saves a little money, as you don’t have to purchase kraft paper and can use what you have. On that note, I’ve also saved old Christmas card and cut them up to make homemade gift tags. There’s a lot you can do with things on hand to create lovely homemade gift packaging.

A great idea to save on the environment. We compost all our paper and cardboard so we’ll do the same with our Christmas paper

These look so pretty! I am the literal worst gift wrapper ever! No matter how hard I try they never end up looking good.

I love ur neutral palettes too. Personally also. I have always gotten customized wrapping from professionals but had to do it on my own lately due to not going to the markets. I won’t do it myself if I had a choice because I’m sloppy when it comes to wrapping. But this would be helpful for those that are really good at it!! Wrapping should be great i believe. Thanks for sharing darl <3
