WHERE CAN YOU FIND THE MATERIALS TO MAKE THIS EASY CHRISTMAS TREE GARLAND?

The materials to make this Christmas tree garland can be found at your local dollar store or even online! I bought a pack of colorful cardstock paper from the dollar store and it’s lasted me a long time and is great quality! If you don’t have a dollar store or can’t get there, you can always purchase these items online like on Amazon or a craft shop!

WHAT ARE THE MATERIALS NEEDED FOR THIS EASY CHRISTMAS TREE GARLAND?

Here is all the materials you’ll need to make this adorable Christmas tree garland!

WHAT EQUIPMENT DO I NEED?

The only equipment that you need to make this craft is some tape and scissors! We love easy crafts here!

CAN I SUBSTITUTE ANY MATERIALS OUT?

You definitely can! I just use yellow and green paper but you can get so creative depending on the color scheme of your holiday decor! Here are a few ideas:

Using ribbon or different coloured twine! Christmas colors would be super cute!
Adding pom poms or bows in between the Christmas tree on the twine
Using different colored craft paper or even some glitter
Adding some mini paper ornaments to the tree
Using red or green clips instead of the plain ones

DOES THIS DECOR LAST TO USE FOR THE FOLLOWING YEARS?

Yes, it does 100%! You can hang up this garland every year as long as you store is properly. I store my pieces in a ziplock bag and keep it in a dry place where it won’t get bended. You can hang it up any year and multiple spots in your house!

HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO PUT TOGETHER?

This decor is super easy and quick to put together. The star takes the longest to cut out due to its small size but other than that, it took me a total of 30 minutes to complete the whole garland!

INSPIRATIONS FOR THIS DIY DECOR?

I’ve said this once and I’ll say it again, paper garlands are my fav decor! I create some for every holiday and they are honestly so cute and give off such a homey feel! Having some homemade as decor in your house is truly a different feeling.

STEPS TO PUT TOGETHER THIS EASY CHRISTMAS TREE GARLAND:

Step 1: Draw Out Christmas Tree and Star Shapes & Cut

I just Googled a Christmas tree and star outline! You can free-hand or cut templates to help you trace and cut!

Step 2: Tape The Christmas Tree & Star Together

I just cut little pieces of scotch tape and taped the tree and star together! You can also use glue if that works for you better!

Step 2: Cut Twine To The Desired Length

Pick where you’d like to hang your garland and cut your twine to the length of that. You can use tape if you’d like as it’s super light but you can also use a thumb tacks/pushpins! I love hanging my garlands on my mantel, office mirror and shelf!

Step 3: Use Mini Pins To Attach Christmas Trees To Twine

Attach the paper Christmas tree shapes to the twine using your mini pins. I love to tilt the paper shapes to one side and have them hanging angled but you can do what works for you!

Step 4: Hang Garland And Space Out Christmas Tree Shapes Accordingly

Lastly, hang your garland and space out the shapes evenly throughout and you’re done! Such a cute and simple garland idea and honestly, it gives your home such a nice homemade touch to your Christmas decor!
