I don’t know about you but I’m a big fan of sweet and salty snacks!
I love making a new batch for every holiday using fun holiday chocolates and candies so, of course, I needed to make an Easter muddie buddies snack mix! Some spell muddies buddies as muddy buddies or even call it puppy chow BUT I prefer muddie buddies with the ie because it looks cuter haha!

The equipment needed to make this Easter Muddie Buddies snack mix is really a huge jar or container so that you can shake and combine all the ingredients together!

CAN I SUBSTITUTE/ADD ANYTHING OUT?
Oh, 100000%! Substitute or add whatever your heart desires! Snack mixes are always fun to tailor to your tastebuds so I always highly recommend choosing snacks that you love or want to try! I really loved how cute the colours of the jellybeans and mini eggs are so that’s why I used it but you really can do what you’d like!
It’s a rule in my house, I can never do a snack mix without pretzels. I don’t even love them that much but I love the salt pieces on the pretzels themselves. It just balances the snack mix so much better!
WHAT DO EASTER MUDDIE BUDDIES TASTE LIKE?
Muddies buddies literally taste exactly what you think. It’s just a good mix of sweet and salty snacks and of course since every item is a snack or treat on its own, you just have a good mix of everything! I know there are some people out there who don’t like mixing their food so if that’s you, snack mixes aren’t for you but other than that I love tasting a bunch of different foods at once!
HOW LONG DOES IT KEEP FOR?
If you keep the muddy buddies in a good sealed airtight container then it’ll last up to 5 days. If you don’t want to risk them getting stale, just make smaller batches so you don’t feel pressured to finish it all! I usually make a big container to enjoy for my husband and I every holiday and we have it during movie nights!
INSPIRATIONS FOR THIS RECIPE?
No specific inspiration for this recipe! I love seasonal things and everything holiday-related so these muddie buddies are an inexpensive way to get into the holiday spirit! I especially love them during Halloween and Christmas because I tend to watch A LOT of movies during that time.

Easter Muddie Buddies Recipe
Ingredients
- 1/2 Cup Icing Sugar
- 1 Cup Chex Cereal
- 1/2 Cup Salted Peanuts
- 1/2 Cup Pretzels
- 1 Cup Mini Chocolate Eggs
- 1/2 Cup Easter Jellybeans
Instructions
- In a large sealable container, add in your icing sugar, Chex cereal, salted peanuts, pretzels, mini chocolate eggs and Easter jellybeans.
- Give it a gentle toss/shake until everything is well mixed together and incorporated.
- Serve and enjoy!
