This DIY Tooth Fairy costume does not require any crafty skills but I absolutely adore how easy it is to throw together! If you have a white dress and shoes at home, you’ve already completely half the look!

Aside from the clothing, you will need a tooth necklace, a wand, wings and a tiara to really channel your outer fairy! Luckily lots of dollar stores, craft stores and costume stores have these costume pieces for cheap so it is easy to find!

WHAT EQUIPMENT DO I NEED?

OMG, this is one of the only costumes on the blog that requires no equipment! I didn’t have to hand make anything for this costume which is awesome! Sometimes, despite loving creating my costumes from scratch, it is so nice to just throw things together! It saves a lot of time while still looking really cute and DIY like!

CAN I SUBSTITUTE ANY MATERIALS OUT?

Yes, yes yes! I always encourage using your creativity to recreate costumes just like I do! For this costume, it’s pretty basic so there isn’t that much to substitute BUT you can add a mask or use a fun coloured wig!

Off the top of my head, you can also add a big tooth on the front of your dress using vinyl, iron-on patches or even paper! If you don’t want to wear a dress, white pants/skirt and top also works really well!

DOES THE COSTUME LAST TO USE FOR THE FOLLOWING YEARS?

Yes! The sweetest thing about this costume is that nothing needs to be taped or glued so you can easily throw it back on together at any point in time or use the different costume components on regular days! I’m a huge fan of white dresses and wear them often in the summer!

HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO PUT TOGETHER?

My favourite costume ever in terms of time! This costume takes no additional amount of time and is similar to just getting ready normally since you just throw it on! Sky is the limit with your hair and make up and this costume just enhances your beauty which we always love!

INSPIRATIONS FOR THIS COSTUME?

To be completely honest, I have no idea why I decided to be a tooth fairy this year haha. I totally do not remember why I wanted to create this costume but I’m happy I did! Honestly, I felt so pretty in this and just made me really feel like a fairy!

I just knew I had half the outfit as I had a white dress/shoes, wand, wings and tiara and all I had to find was a tooth necklace which was easy to find on Amazon and bam a new costume! I really enjoyed the end product and think it would be such a fun costume to wear for a costume party!

I really loved that this costume is so low-key and comfy! I searched for inspo on Pinterest and always find the best costumes but also pretty over the top in terms of accessories and DIY and it’s nice to have a costume that’s easy and subtle!
