HERE IS HOW TO MAKE A DIY MCDONALD’S FRENCH FRIES COSTUME:
WHAT ARE THE MATERIALS NEEDED FOR THIS DIY MCDONALD’S FRENCH FRIES COSTUME?
All you’ll need to put this costume together is:
- Red Shirt/Dress/Top
- Red or Black Bottoms
- Yellow Construction Paper
- Black Headband
WHERE CAN I FIND THESE MATERIALS?
For this costume, I used what I already had! I recommend doing the same but if you need to purchase some things, you can head to your local thrift store, dollar store or even Amazon!
WHAT EQUIPMENT DO I NEED?
You won’t need much for this DIY, you’ll want some hot glue or regular strong glue, tape and scissors!
CAN I SUB ANYTHING OUT?
You sure can! I highly recommend tailoring this to your style and comfort! I wore the only red dress I had in my closet so anything red and black is great for this costume!
As for the headband, you can alternatively get creative with hair clips or even a bucket hat!
DOES THIS COSTUME LAST TO USE FOR THE FOLLOWING YEARS?
Sadly, this costume won’t last as it is as the yellow construction paper is super thin and probably will get ruined by the end of the night. if you do want it to last, you can laminate the paper McDonald’s logo and french fry pieces! The great thing about this costume of course is that you just use your regular clothing so you can definitely put this together quickly the next Halloween!
HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO MAKE?
This took me under an hour in total! I just popped on a Halloween movie and cut the fry pieces and McDonald’s M to glue and the design is super easy so it didn’t take long at all.
INSPIRATIONS FOR THIS COSTUME?
As always, I like to find my inspiration on Pinterest! I randomly searched for easy costumes and I did see this one that I liked! I didn’t want to spend a whole lot of money on it so I used what I already had!
ANY OTHER NOTES?
No other notes for this one! I hope you enjoy making this!
STEPS TO DO THIS DIY MCDONALD’S FRENCH FRIES COSTUME:
Step 1: On your computer, print out the McDonald’s Logo on yellow paper to cut out.
Step 2: Cut long yellow fry-like strips of paper to resemble french fries to glue onto your headband. I outline the fry strips with a black sharpie BUT you can omit this if you don’t feel the need to take the extra step!
Step 3: Put your red outfit on and put on your logo either with strong tape on your chest or top of your stomach.
Step 4: Finish it off with your headband and have a great night!

Cute idea! This is one is good for teachers especially as buying Halloween costumes can get pricy year after year.
This is such a cute idea, and so simple too! I love costumes like this that you can easily whip up when you’re trying to come up with something on a budget or something last-minute. I’ve definitely been in the position before where I got a last-minute invite to a Halloween party and needed to come up with an idea.
Very cute and simple idea!
