My favorite Starbucks drink ever is the Apple Oat Macchiato but since that drink only comes around during the last quarter of the year, I’ve been on the hunt for a new favorite drink! I’ve been in love with their Iced Brown Sugar Oat Shaken Espresso ever since I swapped the syrup and made it in the Cinnamon Dolce syrup. It’s become my go-to drink without fail ever since!
Starbucks is a treat for me so I usually go once a week so I had to take matters into my own hands and make a budget-friendly DIY version at home!

WHERE CAN I FIND THESE INGREDIENTS?
This recipe is so simple! I make my own cinnamon dolce syrup using the Starbucks coffee at-home recipe which calls for water, cane sugar, brown sugar, cinnamon sticks, and vanilla extract. Other ingredients besides cinnamon dolce syrup you’ll need are cold brew, oat milk, and ice.

The ingredients to make this delicious cold crew recipe are:
- Cold Brew
- Oat Milk
- Cinnamon Dolce Syrup
- Ice
WHAT EQUIPMENT DO I NEED?
If you’re making your cold brew at home, I definitely suggest getting a cold brew pitcher! I love and use mine all the time! I have a specific ground coffee brand that I love Folgers® Black Silk Coffee so the cold brew maker is perfect if you want to use a specific ground coffee brand! You can also just buy ready-made cold brew from the store as well.
I’m a firm believer in cute cups and mugs to put your coffee in and glass straws but definitely use what you already have!
CAN I SUBSTITUTE/ADD ANYTHING OUT?
You can of course add or substitute anything in this recipe! I love using cold brew but you can use iced coffee or nitro cold brew or any other coffee substitute of your choosing. I just use the cinnamon dolce syrup but you can add any other syrups you’d like! A pump or two of chocolate, caramel, or vanilla syrup would be awesome in this!
As for the milk, I love oat milk in my coffees, it’s the only real milk that I actually enjoy but you can use your fav milk of your choosing like almond, coconut, rice, cashew, or regular dairy milk.
You can also just use espresso shots if you have a machine and just edit the amount of milk to suit your tastes and the strength of the coffee!
WHAT DOES CINNAMON DOLCE COLD BREW TASTE LIKE?
Mmm, honestly whenever I have anything cinnamon it truly reminds me of the holiday season (Fall & Winter) in a cup! This is exactly what it feels like to me. If you love cinnamon, this is truly the drink for you!
HOW LONG DOES IT KEEP FOR?
As this is a cold brew coffee, you should drink it as soon as you make it! If you’d like to make a premade batch of this coffee, you can mix it all up in a large pitcher but omit the ice until the day/time that you actually drink it!
INSPIRATIONS FOR THIS RECIPE?
As I mentioned at the top of this post, I LOVE Starbucks but it gets so pricey! Especially when I have saving and money goals in mind so I had to find a way to take it into my own hands! I don’t have an espresso machine as I’m writing this post but I hope to have one in the future so I’ve been practicing with cold brew and iced coffee recipes so far.

Yes! If you are making cold brew, I know how tempting it is to pour some within 24 hours but trust me, wait a whole 24 hours, and it’s so rich, strong, and delicious!
Cinnamon Dolce Cold Brew
Ingredients
- 1 Cup Cold Brew
- 3-4 Tbsp Cinnamon Dolce Syrup
- 1-1/2 Cup Oat milk
- Ice as desired
Instructions
- In a mason jar or any container with a lid, add in your cold brew and cinnamon dolce syrup. Shake for 30 seconds or until well combined. Optional: You can also shake your oat milk in a separate jar but it is your preference!
- Get a tall glass and add in as much ice as your desire then pour in your shaken coffee + syrup then top it off with some oat milk.
- Serve and enjoy!
