OMG! It’s the last food from TV/movie segment of the year and it’s insane how fast the year goes! I knew that it would only be fitting to make this dessert spaghetti from Elf!
I gotta say this gave me very strong Rachel Green’s Thanksgiving Trifle vibes and I will state for the record that this is definitely a little easier to swallow as it has no meat.
Elf is an awesome Christmas classic that is about a human who ended up growing up in the North Pole and was raised thinking he was an Elf although his size and appearance say otherwise. Buddy, the main character Elf, gets told by his father that he was indeed not an Elf but a regular person.
Buddy sets out to find and connect with his dad and makes him breakfast one day. Breakfast in the North Pole consists of lots and lots of sugar so this is the dish he creates!

My cousin from Seattle visited me to make this recipe and we had a blast! We were laughing behind the scenes a lot and I enjoyed filming with her. We usually see each other often but haven’t seen each other in person since 2020!
In all honesty, if you were to ask me to eat this again, I would say NEVER. It was a lot of weird flavour combos for me and it definitely wasn’t pleasant BUT I loved that I did get to try it and it was a fun experience!

HERE IS HOW TO MAKE BUDDY’S SPAGHETTI DESSERT BREAKFAST FROM ELF:
WHERE CAN I FIND THESE INGREDIENTS?
So, all of the ingredients to make Buddy’s Spaghetti Dessert Breakfast is pretty common in North America to find as it is really just a bunch of junk food. I used one of my favourite brands of spaghetti sauce and cooked some spaghetti pasta.

- Cooked Spaghetti Pasta
- Tomato Pasta Sauce
- Maple Syrup
- Chocolate Syrup
- Colourful Mini Marshmallows

This recipe really only requires the pasta to be cooked which is about 7 minutes to cook to al-dente. Other than that, you’ll just need to put everything else together. The time breakdown for Buddy’s Spaghetti Dessert Breakfast is:
To Cook – pasta and toss in the tomato sauce
Time: 10 Minutes
To Assemble – the spaghetti and put all the toppings together

WHAT EQUIPMENT DO I NEED?
You don’t need anything special to make this recipe. All you’ll need is a pot to cook your spaghetti pasta the way you usually do and a plate to plate everything together! This is an easy and fun recipe and especially fun to try out if you love the movie Elf or if someone in your family does!
CAN I SUB/ADD ANYTHING OUT?
So, on my blog, you’d know that I am a stickler for saying that my blog is a guide and that you can always add or substitute anything you’d like to tailor it to your taste buds BUT these recipes from a TV or movie show is always an exception because of the ingredients are a bit more specific!
INSPIRATIONS FOR THIS DISH?
I do these food from TV/movie segments once a month and I knew that for December I had to try doing something Chrismassy! There was so much to choose from but this one took the cake!
I watch the same Christmas movies every year and I’ve been wanting to eat my food the same way Buddy from Elf does haha!
ANY OTHER NOTES?
No other notes for this recipe today. It is all fun and games with this series and it’s interesting to think about what the characters in the movies or tv shows you watch are eating.
