I have been active in the blogging community for about 2 years now and there are so many things that I wish I could redo from when I first started. I know that everyone feels this way at one point or another for sure! In these past few years, I’ve learned to continuously learn and grow my strategy to maintain my successfully monetized blog!
These tools helped me get to where I am now so I highly highly recommend that you jump on them! I’ve heard tons and tons of posts about blogging tools for beginners and they always share the same thing so I tried my best to recommend the things I truly think are beneficial and to this day use daily. Note that I have a WordPress/Bluehost hosted blog so depending on what you use, some tools may not be applicable but you can always find workarounds or similar products!

HERE ARE THE TOP 5 BLOGGING TOOLS FOR BEGINNERS:
Website Theme Templates
One super important aspect of blogging is, of course, your website design. Since I started my blogging journey, I’ve installed 4 themes to make sure that my blog is constantly being updated and showcasing my personality and my content in the best way! I work extremely hard on my blog design but I certainly am not a website designer so having easy-to-install templates like these Showit website templates from Gillian Sarah makes the process so much smoother!
Blogging can get really personal so it’s crucial to showcase everything to your reader and audience to keep coming back for more!
Rankmath SEO
Two things that I will die on as a blogger. 1) Marketing on Pinterest and 2) Rankmath SEO Plugin! I’ve had an SEO plugin since the very beginning when I was researching how to be a blogger and I’ve used other plugins before but absolutely love Rankmath to help keep me on track. Just remember that it’s also important to do your own research so you don’t need to follow everything to a T. Research your own strategy as well and use this plugin as a guideline!

Keysearch
Listen, I was a bit late to the game when it came to Keysearch and not that I didn’t believe it’s value but it’s because my focus was all over the place. I’m a Blogger and a Content Creator so that means I’m active on all platforms and I film tutorials, take my own photos and am very front facing. Some bloggers just like to be the voice of their blog but I’m doing it all which is totally fine but I didn’t truly realize the value of Keysearch until my good blogging friend, Vourneen from The Plain Simple Life, helped me out!
Keysearch is super important when competing to rank on Google and this tool is amazing! I wish I started earlier!
Revive Social Posts
I always say that you never really know who may stumble upon what post. If you utilize platforms like Twitter and Facebook, this plugin is for you! The Revive Social Posts Plugin essentially shares all your posts on your blog through a rotation daily which saves you a bit of time for marketing. I get lots of people seeing my old recipes on Twitter and commenting on how they’ll try them out almost daily.
It’s great as you never know when an old post will share on someone’s timeline and they resonate with it and end up clicking and reading the post on your blog!

Tiny PNG
Last but not least, Tiny PNG! If you want to or already love putting lots of photos into your blog and blog posts, it can take up so much space and end up slowing your website so much. Slower website = slower load times for your blog visitors which may lead to them clicking out of the post before they fully get to read it! We definitely don’t want that! I use Tiny PNG to compress my images but still have the same quality. However, you can find a plugin that would function the same!
I could go on and on about tools to use as a blogger! Some honourable mentions that I see often and didn’t feel that need to go into depth about are Canva, Google Analytics, and all the social media platforms and respectively scheduling tool but of course, I want to state that don’t feel that you need to be the best immediately.
Technology is always advancing, trends are always changing so if you’re willing to adapt and have an open mind to your blogging strategy, there’s not a doubt in my mind that you will be successful! Take things one step at a time, embrace the changes and continuously be learning!
I hope you enjoyed reading this post on the Top 5 Blogging Tools for Beginners!

I used to use Yoast SEO, but have very recently moved to Rank Math and it is so much better! I am so glad I have made the switch as it is much more thorough, and should help me boost my blog. I am going to install Revive Social, for some reason Facebook and Twitter don’t automatically post like they used to x
