One day I thought how delicious would a bacon jalapeno popper stuffed mushroom be? I already loved jalapeno poppers and stuffed mushrooms but together would be absolutely delicious so this is bound to work! The addition of bacon would just tie together all the flavours and bring out the smokiness and so I had to bring this vision to life!

The ingredients to make these bacon jalapeno poppers can be mostly found anywhere as the ingredients are pretty common but definitely would depend on where you live in the world. Bacon can be found in most processed meat sections generally where the hot dogs are. The mushrooms and jalapenos can be found in the produce aisles. The seasonings can be pretty much whatever you’d like! I keep mine super simple with just salt and pepper as I love the combination of the natural ingredients as it is. The mayo and panko can found in the pantry aisle or you may already have some in your home. The cream cheese and shredded cheese of course can be found in the dairy aisle!

The ingredients to make these delicious Bacon Jalapeno Popper Stuffed Mushrooms are:
- White Button Mushrooms
- Crispy Bacon Strips
- Crunchy Jalapenos
- Cream Cheese
- Shredded Cheese
- Panko coating
- Mayonnaise
- Salt (to taste)
- Pepper (to taste)
WHAT EQUIPMENT DO I NEED?
The equipment needed for this recipe is just your everyday kitchen items. You don’t need anything fancy to make these bacon jalapeno popper stuffed mushrooms. You’ll need to chop up your ingredients really well with a good cutting board and knife. You’ll want to use a big spatula to mix all the ingredients well together and a goof flat baking sheet to lay the mushrooms on to put in the oven.
CAN I SUBSTITUTE/ADD ANYTHING OUT?
You definitely can substitute or add a bunch of ingredients to this recipe! Some easy things you can add to make this even tastier would be fresh minced garlic, onions and parsley, different seasonings and extra cheese on top!
If you’re a vegetarian, omitting the bacon would be 100% fine! If you want to add a smoky taste to it, you can definitely try adding in some chopped smoked tofu.
If you’re dairy-free, you can swap out the mayo, cream cheese and cheese for other dairy-free plant-based substitutes.
You are also welcome to add any other vegetables to the cream cheese mix!

You’ve got a great kick from the jalapenos, salty and savoury from the bacon, and creaminess from the cream cheese and shredded cheese!
It’s definitely a heart appetizer or side but so so worth it!
HOW LONG DOES IT KEEP FOR?
These appetizers are definitely the best eaten immediately after cooking. I’ve had leftovers before and just store them in the fridge and they are still tasty however, I believe that these are just one of those dishes that you should enjoy almost immediately. If you do end up with way too many leftovers, I suggest that you store them in the fridge and then reheat them in the oven or air fryer so that they can still maintain their shape!
Best kept for up to 3 days maximum!
INSPIRATIONS FOR THIS RECIPE?
I mentioned my inspiration for this recipe at the beginning of this post and that’s exactly it. I randomly one day thought of combining stuffed mushrooms and jalapeno poppers and instantly knew that it would be amazing and needed the vision to come to life! I love both dishes so much so this is something that I make separately often so combining the two is even more delicious!

Bacon Jalapeno Popper Stuffed Mushrooms
Ingredients
- 1 Package White Mushrooms (about 20 pieces)
- 2 Jalapenos
- 4 Strips Crispy Cooked Bacon
- 1/4 Cup Cream Cheese
- 1/8 Cup Mayonnaise
- 1/4 Cup Shredded Cheese
- Salt to taste
- Pepper to taste
- Panko to top off
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400F and line a baking tray with some parchment paper or foil.
- Carefully remove the stems off the mushrooms and place the tops of the mushroom on the baking tray.
- Dice up the mushroom stems, jalapenos, and crispy bacon and place everything in a mixing bowl.
- To the mixing bowl, add in your mayonnaise, cream cheese, shredded cheese, salt and pepper and thoroughly combine everything together.
- Stuff each mushroom fully (they can overflow) and place them back on the baking tray.
- Top each stuffed mushroom with panko breadcrumbs and bake for about 20-25 minutes or until the mushrooms are fully cooked and the tops are golden brown.
- Cool, serve and enjoy!

I’m a big fan of jalapeno poppers and stuffed mushrooms so this sounds like the perfect recipe for me! I would of course omit the bacon, but they do sell vegetarian bacon at some of the grocery stores here!
