Summer flavours are filled with watermelon, coconut, strawberries, mangos, peaches and they are often the star in a lot of slushy or blended drinks that you can order at a bar or restaurant!
Now that Fall is swinging, our flavours are too! Fall is filled with pumpkin, apple, caramel, cinnamon, pear, ginger, chai and so much more!
Do you like Fall flavours or are you more of a Summer flavour type?! I’d love to know!
PIN Autumn Harvest Punch FOR LATER:
This is the first drink I ever made with ginger beer and it honestly shocked me how pungent it was! I like it but it just took me a bit by surprise.
I love apple cider and one of my favourites brands to drink is Strongbow which originated in the UK. I decided for this recipe to buy a 2L of local apple cider called Okanagan Apple Cider and it’s very strong as well but very delicious! I enjoyed drinking the leftovers chilled or over a couple of ice cubes!
This drink was the first vodka drink I’ve had in a long time. I usually like having drinks like margaritas which have tequila in them or peach bellini’s which have peach schnapps and prosecco in them!

HERE IS HOW TO MAKE AUTUMN HARVEST PUNCH:
WHERE CAN I FIND THESE INGREDIENTS?
All of the ingredients to make this Autumn Harvest Punch is most likely available at your local grocery store. The one ingredient that was a bit harder to find was the ginger beer so if you can’t find it at the store, you could just use ginger ale or ginger soda.
The alcohol used for this punch is apple cider which I bought from a local company and vodka! You can always substitute the vodka for any other clear alcohol of your choosing. I also love using white rum for this recipe!
WHAT ARE THE INGREDIENTS?
The ingredients for this Autumn Harvest Punch are:
- Orange Slices
- Apple Slices
- Cinnamon Sticks
- Ginger Beer
- Apple Cider
- Vodka
WHAT TYPE OF ALCOHOL SHOULD I USE?
You honestly can use any clear alcohol you’d like! For this recipe, I used vodka and I picked up the one on sale. I’m not that fond of vodka but wanted to taste how it would work for this recipe and it worked really well. I used Smirnoff but honestly again, use what brand you prefer.
WHAT IS THE TIME BREAKDOWN TO MAKE THIS RECIPE?
This Autumn Harvest punch is super easy and simple to make. The time breakdown for this recipe is:
To Prepare – this includes the measuring of ingredients, cutting of the apples and oranges
Time: 10 Minutes
To Make – this includes pouring all your ingredients into a pitcher and stirring
Time: 5 Minutes
To Chill – this includes storing in the fridge before serving
Time: 2-4 Hours
WHAT EQUIPMENT DO I NEED?
To make this Autumn Harvest Punch, you need very little equipment! You’ll need a knife and cutting board to slice up the apples and oranges. You’ll need a huge pitcher to place all the fruits and liquids. If you plan on straining the fruits, you can use a strainer or some tongs if the fruit slices arent that that soft yet.
Here are some of my favourite Amazon picks for pitchers:
WHAT ARE THE STEPS TO PREPARE?
The steps to make this Autumn Harvest Punch drink are:
- Measure & Cut –Cut the oranges and apples into slices and measure all the liquids
- Prepare & Scoop – Mix the ingredients in two seperate bowls and scoop into baking dish
- Chill – in the fridge for 2-4 hours before serving
- Cool and Serve -and enjoy!
CAN I SUB/ADD ANYTHING OUT?
There isn’t really that much to substitute in this recipe. Like I mentioned above, if you can’t find ginger beer then you can use ginger ale or flavoured sodas. You can substitute the alcohol for whatever clear alcohol you like. White rum, gin or tequila is fine!
I’d keep the apples, oranges and cinnamon but feel free to add some fruits! Aside from apples and oranges, you can add in cranberries and/or sliced pears. I added a few cinnamon barks but you can add in cloves, cardamom, or nutmeg too,
WHAT DOES IT TASTE LIKE?
This Autumn Harvest Punch has really strong flavours of apple cider and ginger beer! The taste of this punch is actually quite light and refreshing and you don’t taste the vodka at all. The ginger beer is very strong so I do recommend tasting it first before pouring it all in, in case you don’t like the taste of ginger beer.
The apple cider has a really crisp taste and is the perfect fizz for this drink. You can also eat the fruits that have been soaking in the punch for a boozy snack!
The cinnamon bark sticks give off a very mild flavour and set everything together really well to embody Fall. I’ve added a few cloves in the past as well and it’s just as good.
HOW LONG DOES IT KEEP FOR?
If you strain out the fruits after 4 hours, this can keep for a long time. There isn’t anything that would spoil as the liquids are just ginger beer, apple cider and vodka. I would keep it in the fridge for up to 2 weeks if you can make it last for that long!
The longer you leave the fruits and cinnamon bark in, the more flavourful it becomes. I would recommend straining everything after a max of 8 hours or before the apples fall apart.
WHAT GOES WITH THIS AUTUMN HARVEST PUNCH?
This Autumn Harvest Punch is perfect to serve at cozy girl’s nights or even Thanksgiving and would go well while you munch on a bunch of different appetizers such as:
- Mini Leftover Thanksgiving Turkey Bites
- Maple Mustard Chicken Wings
- Cranberry Cream Cheese Spread
- Stuffing Sausage Balls
- Cheesy Crescent Roll Leaves

INSPIRATIONS FOR THIS DISH?
I love hosting dinner and parties during the Fall and Winter season but I usually prepare and decorate so much, I really don’t have the time to make super cute and crafty drinks so I needed to find a way to make a huge batch of drinks that I could serve all night without having to whip out a blender or create every hour!
Even if I needed to whip up a fresh batch of this Autumn Harvest Punch, it wouldn’t take a long time and would be super quick and easy!
CAN I PREPARE AND BRING THIS RECIPE SOMEWHERE?
Yes, you can! The great thing about this recipe is that it travels really well. You could make this at home to bring to a party or friend’s dinner. Make sure to put this in a pitcher that has an airtight seal to avoid any spills on the drive or commute to your destination.
If you’d like, you could cut up some fruits and store them in a different container or ziplock and just add some in glasses before you serve them!
COST OF THIS AUTUMN HARVEST PUNCH?
Based on my groceries in CAD, if you were buying EVERYTHING from scratch:
- 2 Apples – $2.41
- 1 Orange – $1.15
- Cinnamon Bark Stick (100g) – $2.70
- Ginger Beer (355 ml) -$1.30
- Apple Cider (2 l) – $8.99
- Vodka (200ml) – $7.99
Total: $24.54 (not all the ingredients were used and leftovers can be used for other recipes)
As all of these ingredients are new, if you just priced out the actual ingredients used in this autumn harvest punch, it would come up to about $14.
ANY OTHER NOTES?
No other notes for this recipe here, it’s an awesome and easy recipe that you can whip up super quick. A huge plus is that it’s actually pretty affordable too and can make a bunch of batches throughout the night! Crafting cocktails can definitely add up and become really pricey but this one doesn’t use too much and the ingredients are reasonably priced.
