Happy Pie Day! I love days that are dedicated to food. International Coffee day is probably my favourite and on my birthday October 1st.

Did you read my pie round-up post? I loved that everyone enjoyed this post! I listed so many pie recipes and they all made me so hungry. If you haven’t read it, click here!

This recipe is creamy, sweet, flaky and has a crunch! I actually don’t eat a lot of apples unless I crave apples and peanut butter. I know that some cultures don’t favour sweet pies and I was super intrigued to find that out in my last post. I haven’t really had any savoury pies so I’m interested to try that out soon! The only savoury pies that I’ve had are chicken pot pie and shepherd’s pie which I love adore. Both these are perfect comfort meals and I always turn to them especially around Fall every year.

This isn’t completely original as I got the inspiration from Tasty’s 4 Ingredient Berries & Cream Hand Pies. I’d say 100% Tasty and Pinterest are my main sources of recipe inspiration!

Apple Cream Cheese Hand Pies - Pin 1

I love this recipe as it is so easy and such a perfect treat/snack! I love apple pies and can seriously scarf them down like nobody’s business! My favourite pie has definitely got to be banana cream pie and pumpkin pie is my second fav.

As always, I love creating recipes that are easy and accessible for most. I find that simple cooking is so enjoyable and especially when you’re a new cook, it’s just an nice and proud feeling to cook something yourself from scratch instead of constantly getting take out!

HERE IS HOW TO MAKE Apple Cream Cheese Hand Pies:

WHERE CAN I FIND THESE INGREDIENTS?

I found all the ingredients at my local grocery store. I used canned pie filling in this one but you can of course, use fresh apples though some areas of the world don’t have apples readily available for a cheaper cost. You can definitely make your own pie crust recipe if the ready-made one isn’t available in stores but I like the easy way out with pastries sometimes haha!

WHAT ARE THE INGREDIENTS FOR THESE APPLE CREAM CHEESE HAND PIES?

  • Apple Pie Filling
  • Ready Made Pie Crust
  • Cinnamon Sugar
  • Egg for egg wash
  • Cream Cheese

Some materials I used are a cookie cutter for the circular pie shapes, baking sheets and a fork to close the edges!

CAN I SUB ANYTHING OUT?

You can definitely use any fruit you’d like! This recipe was inspired by Tasty’s 4 Ingredient Berries & Cream Hand Pies so you can use berries, cherries, peaches even caramel or pumpkin! I think that only thing you can really sub the pie crust with is phyllo pastry or egg roll wrapper!

WHAT DOES IT TASTE LIKE?

This recipe is just a plain apple pie with a creamy edition to it! It reminds me of Fall but luckily this snack is yummy and quick all year round! Basically, this is a twist on a classic.

Apple pie + cream cheese = heaven in my mouth haha

I love pi day, a big nerd about it haha. I remember pre-covid, when we would bring pie to campus during pi day, but sadly everythings online right now. Apple pie and vanilla ice cream is a favorite, but I think it may clash with the cream cheese. However, at least this way I know what’s going into my pie. And it seems so easy, only a few ingredients. I’ve only made pumpkin pie before, so I’m excited to see how this one goes. Now I’m craving some apple pie!

Easy DIY Ribbon Garland 🎀 Bows have been the o Easy DIY Ribbon Garland 🎀

Bows have been the ongoing trend for a while now and I am obsessed! I have always been girly girly and have loved bows for so long. It makes make super excited to see everyone embracing bows as a decor trend!

STEPS TO PUT TOGETHER THIS EASY DIY RIBBON GARLAND:
Step 1: Cut Strips Of Ribbons To Your Desired Size Of Bow
I cut about 25-30cm strips and cut about 20 to 30 of these according to how long my shelf was. You can measure the place you’d like to hang your ribbon garland for more accuracy in sizing.
Step 2: Tie Your Ribbons In The Way That’s Easiest For You
I honestly watched so many ribbon tutorials and I found that this video from Tiktok was the easiest for me to follow! There are so many ways to create little bows so just pick the way that’s the easiest for you!
Step 3: Ensure That Bow Length Are Similar In Size
I cut the ends of the bows to make sure that the bows are similar in size. It does not need to be perfect, and of course, you can leave it as is but I like to make them slightly similar in size.
Optional: I like to heat seal the edges of the ribbons or they don’t fray!
Step 4: Glue Ribbon Together To Desired Length Of Garland
Glue the sides of the bows together until they form a garland to your desired length.
Step 5: Hang Up And Enjoy Your Craft!
Hang the garland in your desired place in your home and admire a job well done!
