What is your usual Starbucks order?
From the minute Pumpkin Cream Cold Brew is available, I will get that every time I get Starbucks. During the holidays, I love an Irish Cream Americano and like spring/summer, it’s just whatever I feel coffee-wise! Vanilla Sweet Cream Cold Brew or just a standard dark roast with oat milk.
Do you have any siblings?
I’m an only child to both parents but have half siblings from my Dad but they are much older than me and don’t live in my country.
Do you hope to have kids one day? How many?
Yes! A dream of mine. I want 2-3 biologically and to foster 2 at a time until they move out and start a life for themselves!
Asked by Sam – The Joy On The Journey
Do you have a spirituality or religion?
I am baptized as a Catholic but I’m open-minded about everything. I wouldn’t say I am one religion if that makes sense! I appreciate everyone’s beliefs.
Asked by Sam – The Joy On The Journey
Guilty pleasure treat?
My guilty pleasure treat is Chinese food! My husband doesn’t like Chinese food so if I order some, I have to eat all the dishes myself over the next few days and I get sick of it so I can’t have it often.

What is your enneagram type?
A description from The Enneagram Institute: Type 8 – The challenger – Eights are self-confident, strong, and assertive. Eights enjoy taking on challenges themselves as well as giving others opportunities that challenge them to exceed themselves in some way. Eights are charismatic and have the physical and psychological capacities to persuade others to follow them into all kinds of endeavours—from starting a company to rebuilding a city, to running a household, to waging war, to making peace.
Are you a leader or a follower?
110% a leader. Someone once told me that some people are born to manage and I believe that. I was born to lead by example!
What’s your biggest regret?
I don’t have many regrets as I love working for what I want in life BUT I do wish I started my Content Creation a lot earlier. I feel like I’m destined to do this but happy with all the other experiences that brought me here!
Asked by Caroline – Enviroline Blog
What did you do for your wedding?
I could literally talk about my wedding for hours. It was a crazy time. I had a 2-day wedding which is very extra but it was very much me. My actual wedding day was on Friday, September 27, 2019, and it was an intimate ceremony of about 30 of our closest friends and family. We rented a gorgeous studio in the city and said our intimate vows around noon, I catered lunch then everyone went to the park with us and took photos for a few hours! We then rented part of a Chinese restaurant, ate, drank, chatted, and laughed with the same 30 people! It was so special.
The next day Saturday, September 28, 2019, we rented a huge hall and had a big party! About 150 ish people. We had games, performances, all the usual wedding programs, a photo booth, an open bar, and literally food for like 300 people HAHA We had people all around the world come and invited everyone and let people invite other people too! Everyone got drunk and we danced, laughed and partied till 3 am. Oh, and this day was also my husband’s birthday so we brought out a huge cake, sang and blew out candles.
Asked by Eleanor – Not-So-Modern Girl
Where do you see yourself in 5 years both professionally and privately?
Man, this was always such a tough question to answer but my goal was always to be a mom and have a family. So basically everything I do is working towards that. In the city that I live in, it’s not possible to live off one income and have a house so I’m working really hard to be a full-time Content Creator so that I can stay home and work for myself while raising my kids and have a nice house.

Have you ever had a wardrobe malfunction?/What’s your embarrassing memory?
OMG YES! One time I was shopping with my husband and was wearing a long thin skirt and I wasn’t wearing any shorts underneath. We were going up the escalator and the escalator ate my skirt!! Luckily my husband pulled aggressively and ripped my skirt to about knee length. I was mortified as the whole mall was about to see my butt cheeks if my husband couldn’t pull my skirt out HAHA
Asked by Jenna – The Peculiar Adventurer and Sarah – Sunshine Sarah
If you could learn one skill (without anything stopping you) what would it be?
OH, I love answering this. I would love to learn how to do carpentry and handmake furniture like shelves, bed frames, tables, chairs etc. I would need to drop everything and go to school for it and focus because if I’m sloppy, I would hurt myself.
Asked by Gemma – Gemmaa Jayne
If you had 1 million dollars given to you, how would you spend it?
I would build my dream house from the ground up as well as my parent’s too! I would leave the rest for investments and future projects!
Asked by Shyla – Sincere Mommy
Who inspires you and why?
My parents for sure! Both my parents came to Canada and their education wasn’t recognized so ever since, both have been working so hard since before I was born and were able to provide for me so that I’ll never wish for anything. I had an amazing childhood and was outdoors all the time. I was able to do everything I ever wanted and never felt left out. I got an allowance and all of my tuition and school needs were paid for. Even though my parents worked double jobs, I never felt like they weren’t there for me. They always made it work. They are the best mom and dad ever <3
Asked by Monica – The Wong Blog
Is there anything you would have done differently if there were no inhibitions or self-doubt?
No, I don’t think so. I’ve almost taken every opportunity I could so I never thought “I can’t do it” or “I’m not good enough” I’m a confident person and I’d say the only time I don’t take an opportunity is when my goals or vision doesn’t align at the time.

Blogging
When did you start your blog and why?
I bought my domain back in July 2019 but never really utilized it till August 2020. I wrote about this above a bit but essentially, it’s an ongoing joke in my family that I take care of everyone’s kids but have my own haha. I’ve always known that my purpose is to have kiddos. In the city we live in and mostly plan to stay in, my husband and I can’t afford to live off one income and have the life we want. So, I’m working hard now to establish multiple income streams before I have kids! I’m a creative person and being a Content Creator is the best way to utilize my skills!
Asked by Corinne – Skinnedcartree
Is writing and blogging your career, or do you have another career?
I’ve dipped my toes in everything but my career or my major in uni was Marketing Management. I only recently took up Content Creation as a full-time job!
Asked by Joy – Joy Unraveled
What is your experience being Asian in the blogging community?
It’s been great! In my writing, I always bring out my Asian upbringing and I’ve only been surrounded by amazing people on the platform who are super encouraging!

What is your favorite blog post that you’ve written?
Oh my, I don’t think I can answer this! I genuinely love all my blog posts and am super proud of my content. Anything in my home section I guess!
Asked by Sumedha – The Wordy Habitat and Pastor Natalie – Examine This Moment
How has your blogging experience been as a whole?
It’s been an amazing journey filled with lots of hard work! I love that I’m learning something new every single day and the community is so encouraging and inspiring!
Asked by Sumedha – The Wordy Habitat
What has been the highlight of your blogging journey/being a blogger?
The highlight of my blogging journey is making money and having brands reach out to me for paid opportunities! I have yet to pitch to any brands. My favourite part about blogging is that I am constantly learning new things. My favourite part about being a blogger is that my days are flexible!
Asked by Ami – Undercover Superhero, Avhlee – Teacups and Torn Pages, and Quiet Girl Blog
What is the number one/best advice you’d give to someone who’s just starting a blog?
My number one advice and I’ll stand by this forever is to create a sustainable schedule. I see so many bloggers take on too much and burn out and quit so quickly. If you can commit to a post x3 a week, then do it. If you know you can commit a post to x2 a month, then do it. If Pinterest is going to be the platform you focus on, stick with it! If Instagram is going to be a platform you’re most active on then create a schedule plan!
The goal is to have a loyal and engaged audience and its much easier to do so when your readers know your schedule especially if you’re new!
Asked by Nahyun – Lifting Motherhood and Gaby – Gabby Abigaill
How did you learn about SEO? How long did it take before you got the results you wanted?
I just did lots of research and studied from other content creators! To this day, I have to honestly say I haven’t achieved the results I wanted yet so I’ll have to re-answer this question later.
Asked by Laura – Sunhats and Chardonnay
Where do you find ideas for your blog posts and narrow down which ones to actually do?
Everything I do is from experience. I share things that I know, tried and love! I’ve always found inspiration from Pinterest even before I started blogging. I have a content calendar with content for the rest of 2021 but I always just adjust things that I want to do on certain dates!
Asked by Alison – The Nutmeg Diaries
What are your plans with blogging in the future/2 years?
I plan to be making steady passive income from my blog and improve my skills by a lot!
Asked by Monica – The Wong Blog, Alex Jean – Simply Alex Jean, Ekta – Tia Says and Claire – Claire Mac
How has blogging helped you grow as a person/changed your life for the better?

Asked by Amanda – Bookish Brews, Della – Della loves Nutella, and Lyla – Lyla Stone
What has been the hardest and easiest thing about blogging for you since you started?
The hardest thing is probably keeping up with the constant changes, notifications and interactions! I’m a blogger, YouTuber and influencer too. So, I utilize all platforms where as other people are just bloggers.
The easiest thing about blogging is that once you get the hang of things, the routine is nice! But in all honesty, blogging is hard and nothing is really easy about it haha.

Asked by Jen – Raising 2 Children

Yes! I take most of my photos aside from stock photos from Canva and I create my own graphics with my Canva Premium account!
Asked by Dee – Conscious Debt-free Life
What is an embarrassing blogging mistake you’ve made/throughout your blogging journey?
The number one mistake that I made in my blogging journey is being on too many platforms at once. I wish I didn’t focus building my presence on Instagram and just stuck to Twitter and Pinterest! Now, I have a community on Instagram, it’s hard to leave although there is little to no return!
Asked by Giulia – Tidbits of Care , Stacey – Stacey L Blogs , Sejal – The Lazy Gal and Nahyun – Lifting Motherhood

I can’t stand when people say one thing and don’t follow through or speak about something that they aren’t experienced in. How do you keep up with your recipe content? Have you made it before or is it the 1st time?
The recipes I share are usually things I’ve already made! I’m the main and only cook in my household so I’m cooking our meals all the time. I cook with my heart and never measure so when I decide to share a dish, I have to remember to write down measurements the next time I make it haha. Aside from that, I try it once or twice before posting a recipe on my website! Since I cook so much as well, I give food away to friends and family often and ask them how it is and what would they do to change it or make it tastier! 🙂

I’m 100% with you on Thanksgiving over Christmas and any other holiday. It’s my favourite, too. And I love that in Canada, it comes at my favourite time of year when the fall colours are spectacular and the weather isn’t too cold to get outside and enjoy.
And, it’s cool that you met your husband while working at McDonald’s. My 18 year-old daughter works at McD’s Mind you, the way she talks about the guys she works with, I can’t imagine her married to any of them, but you never know. LOL
Haha! It was a lot of read and write. Canadian Thanksgiving is a magical time. Thanks for reading, Michelle! x

Hi Lynn.
Many congratulations on your 100th post – and what a great way to celebrate it! (The speed at which I type I’ll probably be 100 before I’ve written 100 posts!!).
Really enjoyed your answers to these questions. Do you know which one has stuck in my find? Buffy The Vampire Slayer! My wife and I used to watch this every week without fail (and the Angel spin-off) – happy days 🙂
Keep up the good work and here’s to the next 100!
Yes! The Angel spin-off! Loved both as well. Thanks for commenting, Richie! 🙂
I’m sure you had a lot of fun answering these questions! Some are very good ones. I love how we’re similar about our goals (like being a present mom and taking care of the family) because honestly, those are mine too!! I mean of course, I aspire to be a lawyer too but something about being a mom sounds so extraordinary. I also enjoyed reading about your wedding. I think Extra is an understatement haha. Congrats on your 100th blog post, Lynn!

One hundred questions is a lot, but I loved reading this and getting to learn so much more about you! It is enlightening to see what makes a person happy and inspires them, as well as see some of the lessons they have learned. Candle lit baths sound amazing, and your playlist has a great collection of songs that always inspire me to move a little too.
May the words flow!

I love this post! It turned out so well and I feel like I know so much more about you! I love having Modern Family in the background while working. It’s a great show for keeping you less anxious while working on something stressful- I do it all of the time!
And, the 2 day wedding is such a great idea, and it’s so cute that you and your husband met when you were 14!
I hope one day you’re able to get a pet of your own. I will say, that unless you personally want one 100%, it does not matter how much your children say they will do. My Mom loves my dogs, but now that I am in my own apartment and they are still with her and my Dad, she does have to do more than she expected, and she was never a dog person. My Dad does a lot too, but with her schedule she is at home more. That being said, it is 100% worth it!
Thank you so much for reading, Allison! It was a doozy haha
What a great post!! So cute that you met your partner at 14!! Congratulations on 100 posts, I love reading all your posts. xx
